Balenciaga x The Characters

Every so often, a new bag makes a splash, and it’s unmistakably the next big thing. The term “It-Bag” has not introduced recently instead it has reached its peak in the late 2000s and early 2010s, and this time, it’s the Balenciaga Rodeo bag that is stirring that same excitement, giving us major nostalgic Balenciaga vibes.
Balenciaga’s latest “The Characters Campaign” stars Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, and Isabelle Huppert showcasing the Rodeo bag’s versatility against a minimalist white backdrop. Made from calfskin, the Rodeo bag strikes a perfect balance between structure and slouch with a sleek matte finish.
But what truly is different with this? For those who love a touch of chaos, Balenciaga offers cluttered versions adorned with keys, heart-shaped mirrors, chunky chains, woven tassels, and even locks for securing valuables, proving that more is more in this case.
These are available on Balenciaga’s website and selected stores ranging from $2950 to $5500.
Mugler x Gentle Monster

Following its hit collaboration with BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Gentle Monster has teamed up with French house Mugler for a striking new eyewear collection. Drawing inspiration from Thierry Mugler’s iconic Les Insectes Spring 1997 haute couture line, the debut collection features two avant-garde sunglasses designs: Spiral 01 and Spiral 02.
Spiral 01 boasts an almost alien, oversized geometric design with “ski goggle-like” lenses as part of the House’s 1997 “Les Insectes” haute couture collection, while Spiral 02, a sort of yin and yang is put forward as the 02 edition features a more contemporary edge, slightly toned-down yet still futuristic look with its sporty angular lenses and unique embossing.
The packaging is equally innovative, with an organic yet structural design. But what’s a Gentle Monster collaboration without its cutting edge visuals? For this collection, the brand tapped creative Theo Liu to lens the campaign, which stars Colin Jones and Georgia Palmer who paid homage to visual legends Helmut Newton and Manfred Thierry Mugler.
Well, The Mugler x Gentle Monster collection was released on July 18 and is available online, in stores, and at select global retailers.
