Fashion Headlines You May Have Missed (Part 3)

What makes a fashion collaboration truly unforgettable? Is it the perfect pairing of brand partners, a standout product, or the partnering of both brands’ visions into one powerful campaign?

The answer is a combination of all three questions. Collaborations remain popular because they are a successful way to expand a brand’s vision, introduce exclusive products, attract new audiences, and create captivating marketing initiatives.

This week, we spotlight four exceptional partnerships that have unlocked new possibilities in fashion.

Hello Folks,

Let’s dive into the brands who are shaking things up!

Kiko Kostadinov and Levi‘s have teamed up for their first-ever collaboration, unveiling capsule collections for both men and women.

Debuted at Paris Fashion Week in March and June 2024, the Fall/Winter lineup featured inaugural pieces from their partnership—black denim jackets adorned with punctured pearls and warm, textured jeans.

For menswear, Kostadinov reimagined Levi’s iconic 1990s engineered jeans and jackets with diamond-inspired details. The womenswear collection, designed by Laura and Deanna Fanning plays with the idea of a three-piece denim suit, offering Henley silhouettes, fuzzy coats, and relaxed-fit jeans with unique tailoring.

The Kiko Kostadinov x Levi’s collection launches worldwide on August 22. It will be available on Levi.com, selected stores, and online at kikokostadinov.com.

Coco Gauff x American Eagle

American Eagle is doubling on 20-year-old tennis star Coco Gauff with the launch of a new fashion line.

As part of their fall campaign which introduces the brand’s “Live Your Life” platform, Gauff is not only the face of the collection but also a designer. Her debut includes pieces like a cropped denim corset, high-waisted jeans, and stylish sweater tops, all inspired by her personal style.

Gauff’s collaboration with AE reflects two growing trends: the power of Gen Z consumers and the rising influence of female athletes in marketing. This isn’t her first time working with the brand—she’s been a fan since her youth and recently led their fall campaign launch.

The Coco Gauff x AE collection is now available online, with prices ranging from $34.95 to $89.95.

Greta Lee x Calvin Klein

Calvin Klein has chosen “The Morning Show” star Greta Lee as the face of its Fall 2024 campaign.

Photographed by Mert Alas and styled by Emmanuelle Alt with creative direction from Ben Keren, the campaign highlights Lee wearing Calvin Klein’s latest underwear collection. It blends classic minimalism with modern comfort.

According to Calvin Klein, the campaign is meant to capture Lee “through a new lens as [she] moves confidently through her day.” Lee’s campaign film is set to The Go-Go’s “We Got the Beat” to create an upbeat vibe.

The collection introduces Tonal Logo styles featuring a matte shine construction in new, seasonal colors, providing a subtle yet sophisticated update to Calvin Klein’s iconic underwear.

Ganni x New Balance

Danish affordable luxury brand GANNI has teamed up with New Balance again. The partners unveiled their second collaboration during Copenhagen Fashion Week SS24. This time, the collection is even more eye-catching than the first.

The first collaboration included a single, now impossible-to-find sneaker but for the second round, three styles were made to sell out—AND THEY DID!

GANNI and New Balance have refreshed the iconic 1906R and RC30 sneakers with three standout styles for a limited release. Two versions of the 1906R bring back early 2000s vibes in egret white and blazing yellow, while the RC30, with its sleek design, features a bold black and yellow palette reminiscent of caution tape.

This new capsule collection keeps the sporty details intact but amps up the color with vibrant neon tones. It perfectly complements Ganni’s seasonal lineup and adds a fresh twist to New Balance’s classic look.

All three styles dropped on August 16, with the RC30s available exclusively on Ganni.com.
